Flower Festival 2001 "Colourful Counties" Breaks all records! It's over again for another year, and we can all breathe a sigh of relief - it was a great success, making about £3,700.00, slightly more than last year. The visitor numbers were up by about 100, and the raffle and bric a brac stalls did wonderfully. The cake stall and teas made their usual large contribution, but could have done even better if we had had more cakes etc to sell - the cakes ran out on Sunday at about 4 pm. just when people came out of the church after the bellringers had finished!. So many, many thanks to everyone who helped in any way, and particularly to those who came to help clear up after the festival was over. It was great to have so many people and made the hard work much easier. And thank you , too, to all the people who helped with the flowers - I think the church looked as beautiful as ever, if not more so. Gillian Gray Thank you Bryan and Joy would like to thank Fr Michael and Mrs Branfield and Hunnables for the lovely way in which they conducted the service and remembered Louise. Thank you also to all who came, donated money, sent flowers and sent their good wishes. In Louises words "we must believe in God and Jesus" Bryan and Joy Attrell A diamond cannot be polished without friction, nor a human being perfected without trials. Chinese Proverb |
