Welcome

. . .. to David Yates, who with his family and friends has taken over the tenancy of The Crown, and has plans for the place!

He has already introduced new menus, using locally produced fresh ingredients. He is planning a number of improvements to both the restaurant area and the Public Bar.

I can confirm that his food is excellent and gives the Treble Tile a run for its money. He is planning to promote the pub as a lunch spot to the business community in the area.

In November he is organising a Pub Warming and Fireworks party - the date for this will be confirmed nearer the time as he would like to avoid a clash with the West Bergholt fireworks show.
